Sterling Bay is a commercial real estate company that creates one-of-a-kind, class-A spaces for an array of industries, from general office space to industrial. They have the guts to do things differently—just like the risk it was to start buying neglected properties on the west side of Chicago and transform them. Over time, this mindset has become directly responsible for the boom that is Fulton Market. Since then, Sterling Bay has grown nationally. As their business has expanded, the team at Pivot Design has evolved the brand to flex with it. Across corporate and culture initiatives, properties, and developments that redefine communities, we’ve helped Sterling Bay continue to be bold.

Sterling Bay builds. And with that comes alot of construction signage. There was a need for a streamlined method for creating consistent branded signage. The team and I at Pivot came up with guidelines and templates that would allow for greater flexibility while strengthening their brand across locations.

In addition to Sterling Bay’s digital presence and marketing efforts, we worked with them to develop other marketing tactics that would help them tell their story in a different way. Building Bold is a hefty hardcover book (yes, a book, PRINT!) that captures their endeavors from now all the way back to inception.

There’s something to be said for a company that cares about its people just as much as their projects. We helped SB imagine what could be done to boost employee retention and loyalty. From printed swag to welcoming digital touch points, we helped them roll out a unique experience for new and existing employees.
